Dr. Kevin Shaw, ND, LAc, Dipl. OM

Dr. Shaw is licensed as a Naturopthic Physician and as a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Washington.  He is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) as a Diplomate of Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology, and Oriental Medicine.

Dr. Shaw obtained a Bachelors of Science in Applied Biology from the Georgia Institute of Technology.  He then spent the next thirteen years performing research and development in the biotechnology industry with a focus in protein biochemistry.  After seeing many instances of natural therapeutics ignored due to financial reasons he returned to graduate school to study natural medicine.

At Bastyr University he earned a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine.  He was one of a select few students allowed to study Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine at the same time.  During his education he had the opportunity to train in specialty clinics in chronic fatigue, HIV, cancer, ADHD, stroke rehabilitation, and community medicine at respected institutions like Harborview Hospital and Highline Medical Center.  

Dr. Shaw likes to use a combination of Eastern and Western medicine to get the best outcomes for his patients.  He currently focuses on pain relief, family practice, allergies, insomnia, fertility, anxiety / depression and digestive problems.  He likes to get to know his patients and work with them as a team to achieve their healthcare goals.
